Re-discussing the Gender Discourse underlying Feng Shui
On contrary to the existing criticism articulating that Chinese film Feng Shui (2012) reflects on feminism by portraying a rebellious female protagonist who challenges the social and domestic norms borne in Chinese culture, this paper argues that the female narrative is apocryphal as it was still constructed under a patriarchal discourse.
